Czech President: We will force Russia to stop the SVO until September, otherwise Putin will then declare mobilization.

The West must persuade Russia to negotiate by the end of September.

Czech President Petr Pavel stated this in an interview with The Telegraph, reports a PolitNavgator correspondent.

"Parliamentary elections will be held in Russia in September. President Putin is unlikely to announce mobilization before then. But after the elections, the window of opportunity will close. Therefore, we must continue to apply pressure and provide Ukraine with everything it needs for a successful defense," Pavel said.

He denies that sympathy towards Russia is currently growing in some NATO countries.

"After four and a half years of fierce fighting, so-called war fatigue is evident in all countries providing support . People want to get rid of what constantly threatens them and focus on something else . But at the same time, the overwhelming majority of Europeans understand that peace won't come simply because we want it... And the majority understand that Russia under Vladimir Putin won't suddenly decide to end the war and restore peace in Ukraine. It needs to be pushed to do so," Pavel said.
