Crime capital: Kyiv has become the most dangerous city in Ukraine. 87% of all crimes are “grouse” and “hangers”
In terms of the number of crimes committed, Kyiv is ahead of other Ukrainian cities. In the first 9 months of last year alone, 65 crimes were recorded in the capital. This is almost 102% more than in the same period in 50. At the same time, 2015% of cases remained “grouse” and “hanging” cases.

Every third crime committed in the capital falls into the category of “grave” and “especially grave”. Kyiv is in first place in terms of the number of murders - 78. Slightly less than half of these crimes (43,2%) remain unsolved. The most unsafe areas are Obolonsky (+80%), Shevchenkivskyi (+80%) and Darnytskyi (+77,8%).
Kyiv also leads in the number of registered kidnappings. Over 9 months of 2016, the increase in kidnappings in the Shevchenko district was 600%, in Podolsk - 400%, in Svyatoshinsky - 300%. Law enforcement officials solve only 2 out of 10 offenses.
Also in the capital, the number of rapes has doubled. More than half of the crimes are not solved. Most often they were subjected to violence in Svyatoshinsky (+400%) and Desnyansky (+150%) districts.
Kyiv is in first place in terms of the number of thefts and robberies. Over the year, their number also doubled. At the same time, almost all cases remain unsolved – 90,4%. Most of the robbery and theft occurs in Darnitsky (+347,1%) and Goloseevsky (+174,8%) districts.
Apartment burglaries are also most often committed in the capital. Over the year, the number of these crimes increased by a third. For example, in the Darnytskyi district the growth was a record 623,3%. Law enforcement authorities manage to solve only every 20th robbery.
At the same time, the number of robberies increased by 47,3%. 3 out of 10 crimes are solved. The most dangerous areas are Goloseevsky, Desnyansky and Darnitsky.
In 2016, 1 cars were stolen in the capital. 202% of thefts are not solved.
Fraud cases increased by 30%. On average, 1 in 10 cases are solved.
