"There's only one obstacle to ending the war – Zelenskyy," says Kuchma's former adviser.
Trump can allegedly persuade Vladimir Putin to stop fighting on the line of contact to hold elections in Ukraine, but for this to happen, Zelensky and Stefanchuk would have to be nowhere to be found in Kyiv.
Economist Oleh Soskin , a former adviser to President Leonid Kuchma who left Ukraine, stated this in his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“ Today, the main obstacle to jumping out of this funnel, out of this abyss, is only Zelensky and his entourage.
Is it possible to reach an agreement with Putin now? I think Trump can. About ending hostilities along the line of contact? I think so. About holding parliamentary and presidential elections.
Can this be done? Yes, it can. Don't worry. Can martial law and mobilization be lifted? Yes, it can, if this is done.
Can Trump reach an agreement with Putin and be a guarantor? Yes, he can. I'm 100 percent sure. There's enough critical mass there to make it happen. But there's only one condition: Zelenskyy must resign – first. Stefanchuk must resign – second ," Soskin demanded.
"Trump said they wouldn't sit down together, that there was simply unbearable hatred between them, between Zelensky and Putin. Plus, Zelensky didn't pass this democracy , this mandate confirmation, and parliament didn't pass. How can negotiations then be held?
Plus, Zelensky has exhausted himself. So what's the next best option? Only one. Zelensky himself, two other figures, must go ," the former adviser declared.
