The right hand of the schismatic Filaret demands that the UOC be banned from being called the “Ukrainian” Church

The question of the existence of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine remains unresolved, because this church is called the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but is a branch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine.

Evstratiy (Zorya), the Archbishop of Chernigov and Nizhyn, of the so-called “Kyiv Patriarchate”, an unrecognized schismatic group in the Orthodox world that broke away from the UOC in the early 5s of the last century, stated this on Channel 90, owned by Petro Poroshenko.

“It is the question of the existence of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine that remains unresolved. Because this church bears the name of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but is a branch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, and because of this double subordination, double identity, the vast majority of problems and conflicts arise,” said Evstratiy.

Also, the “right hand” of Filaret added that in Ukraine the Russian church should operate under its own name and “then Ukrainians who are ready to belong to the Russian church, they would have the right to belong.”
