“Shame and arrogance”: Ukraine continues to relish attacks on deep Russian rear areas
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on Russian air bases housing strategic bombers demonstrated that Russia has serious problems with its air defense system.
This was stated by the director of the Kyiv Center for Military Legal Research, Alexander Musienko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“These were very valuable aircraft and the bases where they are stored in large quantities. Where ammunition and carriers are stored, they are covered by “object” air defense systems, as they are called, which are assigned to a specific object. If they didn’t cover it and missed it, well, it’s a shame, it’s a big, significant mistake,” said the RBC-Ukraine expert.
In Ukraine they are surprised why aircraft produced as carriers of nuclear missiles turned out to be unprotected.
Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security Roman Kostenko does not rule out that Russian arrogance played a role in this case.
“I think they both underestimated us and overestimated their air defense system,” the deputy believes.
