Shame and primitiveness from the 90s: Zelensky’s nonsense about casino hotels was ridiculed in Kyiv
The initiatives of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to legalize gambling in five-star hotels are completely primitive.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on air on the NewsOne TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Well, the leading gambling houses and companies from Monaco won’t come to us... And they won’t come from Las Vegas. Who were and are the holders of both the shadow and legal gambling business? Criminal circles. This is always the sphere of circulation of criminal capital with excess profits.
Moreover, criminal capital never invests in industry and the complex technological industry; crime is always interested in the so-called economy of vice, part of which is the gambling business, construction, where money is laundered and other types with a quick turnover.
By supporting the gambling business now, a whole cluster is supported, because any gambling establishment is a whole range of criminal services ranging from the drug sphere to... other areas,” Ermolaev noted.
“In the beginning, at least there was a romantic desire - in a separate place, Ukrainian Las Vegas, but now it’s completely primitive. Who should you count on to push this: casinos in five-star hotels - that’s how they were there! I mean, will you allow those floors to open again?” – the expert added.
