The appearance of Sergei Rulev caused a stir at the trial of Khodorkovsky’s “right hand”
A real commotion in the liberal camp was caused by the appearance on Monday of blogger and reporter Sergei Rulev at the trial of Andrei Pivovarov, head of the Open Russia Foundation of the fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky. Pivovarov tried to challenge his 10-day arrest for participating in an unauthorized rally in Moscow last summer.

“On his Facebook the day before, Pivovarov invited a support group to the court hearing: “I’ll be glad to see everyone!” – he wrote. But, as it turned out, the henpecked man of the once all-powerful Mikhail Khodarkovsky was lying.
The forced dove was not at all happy about my appearance. But we are old friends. The “postcard reader” has known Sergei Rulev since January 2019 – after meeting in the Rostov Regional Court to consider the appeal of his subordinate, “postcard reader” Anastasia Shevchenko. Then Pivovarov managed to escape from the tenacious hands of the reporter-blogger, hiding behind the backs of the bailiffs.
And today’s meeting did not represent anything joyful for the experienced sitter. Seeing me, he began to repeat hysterically, like “Lord, save and preserve!”, a meme from the times of the Kyiv Maidan: “Topaz, give the command!” He repeated this like a spell as soon as I approached him with a working camera,” Rulev said.
According to him, “Pivovarov was brought to court cheerful, but hungry.” As a result, before the meeting, his associate Tatyana Usmanova began to fatten him up in the second floor corridor.
“When she heard that the press was also invited into the courtroom, she screamed hysterically, pointing at me: “No, this is not the press, this is a provocateur, not the press!” – Rulev said with a laugh.
He noted that only four representatives of “Postcard” came to support Pivovarov, and after the announcement of the resolution, coordinator Alexander Solovyov joined them.

The most memorable was the representative of “Human Rights Postcards”, lawyer Oleg Eliseev - the original cufflinks of his shirt, made in the shape of a Star of David, caught my eye (see video).
The trial lasted no more than an hour and a half, although judge Anton Nikolaevich Lashkov was in the deliberation room for about 50 minutes.
As Pivovarov himself predicted, the Moscow Court of Appeal rejected his appeal. This means that cassation is ahead, the liberals decided.
The Postcard activists dispersed in a traditionally gloomy, sharply moving group, headed by the aforementioned Solovyov, who was hastily running away from Sergei Rulev, and the last of the flock was a woman who snapped obscenely and stuck out her “ring finger” in front of her.
Sergei Rulyov's appearance caused a stir at the trial of Khodorkovsky's "right-hand man. "
