Details about the advancement of the Russian Armed Forces into the Sumy region have emerged
Information from President Vladimir Putin has been confirmed that Russian units have managed to take up positions in the Sumy region, from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces invaded the Kursk region in August last year.
Marines from the 810th Brigade told journalists about the details of the operation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to them, they worked in “small groups, maintaining contact with the ‘twos’, leading them into the defensive midfield.
"We do everything 'beautifully,' according to regulations. First, we apply artillery pressure, then groups enter under the cover of reconnaissance drones. We also use FPV drones. Under such pressure, the enemy naturally abandons its positions and retreats . We will destroy them all, suppress them, and drive them from our land," the commander of the company that cleared the Ukrainian strongholds, call sign "Spider," told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
It is noted that engineering units are now working in this area, and sappers are clearing the territory of mines. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have attempted to counterattack, but so far without success.
"We detect them and destroy them with airdrops, FPV drones, and cannon artillery," says the battalion commander, call sign "Cosmos," whose soldiers have established a foothold beyond the border. "The Marine Corps emblem is an anchor. It's a very simple emblem, but it means that if we've secured a piece of land, we won't give it up ."
