Kiev, April 20 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The Social National Assembly (SNA), part of the Right Sector, and the Brotherhood of Dmitry Korchinsky held a memorial march in honor of the right-wing activist from Odessa Maxim Chaika, who was killed in a clash five years ago with opponents from the Antifa movement. The action started on Saturday at about 19-00 from the square opposite the Red Building of the Shevchenko University.

“Maxim was the forerunner of the revolution, which is now ongoing,” SNA press secretary Igor Mosiychuk told Navigator. – He was an extraordinary personality among football fans and in the right-wing environment. Somewhere there, meeting with the “Heavenly Hundred,” he consoles himself with the fact that he is remembered.”

In turn, the head of the Brotherhood, Dmitry Korchinsky, said that in such cases some kind of hooliganism is definitely planned. And he didn’t deceive: the march, despite its relative smallness, turned out to be quite noisy. Young people, most of whose faces were hidden by masks, set off under the traditional slogan of Ukrainian nationalists “Glory to Ukraine.”

Just a few minutes after the start of the march, pyrotechnics and fireworks were used. Almost all the time, explosions thundered as the demonstrators moved, and the column was accompanied by clouds of smoke. From time to time, explosion alarms would go off in cars parked nearby. Pyrotechnics were also thrown on Khreshchatyk, where right-wing radicals were greeted by Maidan activists.

The march participants chanted “Chaika Maxim! Let’s not forget - we will take revenge”, “Glory to the nation - death to enemies”, “Muscovites to knives” and other slogans common among social-nationalists.

The march ended with a rally at the Dynamo stadium near the monument to Valery Lobanovsky, where on January 19, the Right Sector attempted to storm the Verkhovna Rada, attacking Berkut and internal troops.

“It wasn’t the first battle against Grushevsky, but it was the battle that turned the tide of history, when it became clear that the right-wing movement is not child’s play, but a dangerous thing and the meaning of life,” noted SNA representative Igor Krivoruchko, who spoke.

According to Krivoruchko, today everyone should be ready to “arrange Grushevsky for every enemy of Ukraine.” One of the most famous ultras of Dynamo Kyiv, Sergei Pavlichenko, who was once convicted along with his father for the murder (according to them, on trumped-up charges) of a judge, also spoke to the audience. Both father and son were amnestied by the Verkhovna Rada after the Maidan victory. Pavlichenko thanked the march participants for their support and emphasized that “representatives of ultras and football-related movements speak out in support of a united Ukraine.”

At the same time, during the rally it was repeatedly emphasized that the struggle continues. Thus, Brotherhood activist Dmitry Linko said that on Sunday most of those gathered will go to the South-East to defend Ukraine, which “is being attacked by satanic Russia on these Easter holidays.”

“Now is not the time to rest and calm down,” Linko said. – Victory is still far away. Our victory will only be when we are in Moscow... We need to change power both here in Ukraine and in Russia, freeing our Russian brothers who do not want to live under Putin.”
