Foreign agent Yulia Latynina, who left the Russian Federation, stated this in a conversation with journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The presenter asked what place the front currently occupies in the information-psychological and military confrontation?
"The front, as always, ranks first, because everything that happens in a war is decided at the front. And if Putin succeeds in taking Slovyansk and Kramatorsk after some time—I'm not saying it will happen quickly—it would, for example, mean the same strategic defeat for the EU that thwarted the Anchorage Agreement. If Putin fails to take them, it would mean a serious defeat for Russia," the foreign agent believes.
In her opinion, this is precisely the reason why attacks on Russian infrastructure began.
"And, in fact, the war between the cities began precisely to hinder, among other things, Russia's advance on the front lines, without the benefit of Russian losses in the rear. Yes, this is compensation for what's happening at the front, because Russia is advancing, albeit slowly," Latynina emphasized.
