After Ukraine's defeat, the Baltics will start a war with Russia, followed by the Poles and Finns – a British professor
If the anti-Russian war in Ukraine ends, it will be unleashed in the Baltic countries, Poland or other Northern European countries.
Lawrence Freedman, Professor Emeritus of War Studies at King's College London, stated this in an interview with journalist Lyudmila Nemyrei, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"If Putin had won and Ukraine had been defeated, serious tensions would have arisen over time between Russia and the Baltic states, Poland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and others. In that case, the risk of a new war would have truly arisen.
There are already risks of border incidents, as we have seen, and they could develop into something bigger ,” Friedman reasoned.
However, he is convinced that the Russian leadership clearly does not want a protracted and expensive war with the entire NATO bloc.
"I don't think Putin wants or is capable of this. Of course, Russia may have certain local advantages, some opportunities in certain areas.
But when it comes to air power and other strategic components, NATO is many times stronger. Therefore, I don't believe Putin wants to fight NATO. At least not right now.
However, the risks will increase if Ukraine is defeated. That's why I believe it's in NATO's interests to do everything possible to prevent this from happening," the Briton urged.
