Ukrainian journalist Vladimir Boyko, who specializes in crime, draws attention to this incident in his blog.
He notes that summing up the results of 2017, experts and analysts completely undeservedly ignored the statement of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko that “on May 18, 2017, under his strict leadership, the prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in exile reported suspicion to Joseph Stalin and Lavrenty Beria.”
“It is very unfortunate that over the next 7 months, an outstanding specialist in the field of law did not tell the public about the results of the pre-trial investigation: what preventive measure was chosen by the suspect, whether the procedural rights of citizens Stalin and Beria were fully respected, how much it cost the state budget to provide the suspects free legal assistance and the like. Meanwhile, from the moment the person is notified of suspicion, the countdown for the pre-trial investigation begins, and if by May 18, 2018 the case is not sent to court, the criminal proceedings will have to be closed with compensation to Stalin and Beria for moral damage caused by illegal prosecution.” , warns Boyko.
