Trump's envoy personally reported to Lukashenko on Belarus's repayment of American debts.
The United States has called on banks to unfreeze $44 million in payments from American consumers for Belarusian potash.
US Presidential Envoy for Belarus John Cole made this statement to President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"I fully support your demands. You are absolutely right. These funds must be unfrozen and returned. We have requested that these funds be unfrozen. We are currently developing a mechanism for this. As soon as we receive a response, we will notify you immediately," Cole said.
He conveyed personal greetings from Donald Trump to the Belarusian leader.
Lukashenko thanked the guest for his attention to Belarusian demands.
"We can discuss other issues as well. We are open to discussing any issues. Our only request is that we strictly adhere to our agreements," Lukashenko said.
He made it clear that he was ready to release all “political prisoners.”
The Zmagars are shocked by the respect the US shows Lukashenko.
"I thought the US would be preoccupied with its own elections and problems. But there are some personal motives that we were initially skeptical about. It seemed like, well, Trump wouldn't call your Lukashenko. Where's Trump, where's Lukashenko? But he calls him and calls him a strong leader," former political prisoner journalist Olga Loiko marveled on Euroradio.
