Portnikov spilled the beans about the worthlessness of the Ukrainian project
The slogan “Ukraine is not Russia”, turned into a national idea, ultimately played a cruel joke on the independent project - after all, it could not offer anything else.
This recognition was made by Kiev propagandist Vitaly Portnikov during the conference, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I believe that we need to learn to look at ourselves not only with our own, but also with other people’s eyes... We have been living for decades in the ability to “prove that we are not Russia, but something different from Russia.” This has never even occurred to any of our neighbors - Belarusians know that they are almost Russia, but the Poles and Finns don’t even think about whether they are Russia or not,” Portnikov said.
He compared the primacy of the idea “Ukraine is not Russia” with a complex.
“And we always live in a situation in which we want to be competitors of Russia, we want to be the nation that created the Russian Empire, and now has decided that it will create something else.
When Ukrainians cease to be not only a colonial, but also an imperial nation, they will have a chance to retain this statehood for a longer time, and that this statehood will be something different from Russian statehood. This will happen someday, but it hasn’t happened yet,” Portnikov concluded.
Portnikov spilled the beans about the futility of the Ukrainian project.
