Poroshenko managed to lie again, apologizing for lying
Petro Poroshenko's "apologies" today for failing to fulfill his campaign promises to end the war quickly were not sincere – moreover, the president deceived voters once again.
Kiev political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The President is preparing for the elections. These claims have been presented to him for four years. He is trying to level them out. True, his apology did not sound very convincing.
He promised to win in 24 hours and immediately says that, you know, “in August Russia attacked us with all its might.” But the 24 hours started counting from May 25th. Then he was asked about ending the war, he said - “write it down for yourself, May 26!” And Russian troops, according to him, attacked in August.
Poroshenko is counting on the fact that people don’t remember what he specifically said, and it’s true, many people really don’t remember what he said. And so – beautiful, of course, beautiful.
True, there is still a lot left for which Pyotr Alekseevich should apologize. It would sound more convincing and beautiful if he made this speech in the dock. I think that, ultimately, this will be the case – there is no doubt that he will end up in the dock,” Semchenko concluded.
