The rating of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is not actually growing, but his PR team is carrying out a set of measures to falsify first the growth of the rating, and then the victory in the elections.
Valentin Gladkikh, a political expert with the NGO "Word and Deed," announced this at a press conference in Kyiv today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The Tomos saga and the constitutional amendments (regarding accession to the EU and NATO – ed .) are being carried out to create an ideological foundation that will later explain the president's rising approval ratings. Otherwise, it's difficult to explain how it happened that the president had 6% in all the polls, and then suddenly scored significantly higher in the first round," Gladkikh said.
He believes that the falsification will be very large-scale.
“Judging by what resources are being thrown in and what networks are being deployed, he wants to gain significantly more. It will be necessary to explain where the interest comes from. How much its results actually increase is debatable. Petr Alekseevich can compensate for the lack of electoral support with almost limitless material resources and available administrative resources,” said the political scientist
