Poroshenko will not last until spring
Ukraine's impoverished population is on the brink of survival due to rising tariffs and prices. The country is threatened by food riots. Petro Poroshenko has sharply increased funding for police structures. However, his regime is unlikely to last until spring.
Viktor Nebozhenko, director of the Ukrainian Barometer sociological service, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“Almost half of the salary and the entire pension went to pay (at the new tariffs). It is clear that there will be no Maidan - because police structures received enormous preferences through the budget. The Prime Minister called the 2017 budget “human-centric”... This is not a social state. As a sociologist, I don’t know how to predict riots, but I can’t imagine what kind of forces there should be to hold out until spring,” Nebozhenko said.
