The political forces of Ukraine will collude before the presidential elections to ensure the victory of the current head of state Petro Poroshenko.

“There will be prominent political figures Vakarchuk and Zelensky and about 8 people from the southeast - very conditionally pro-Russian. All these people will claim the south-eastern, conditionally pro-Russian electorate. With them you don't have to worry about competition on this flank. Ukraine has been divided and remains so, although the southeastern part has shrunk after the departure of Crimea and Donbass,” Kulikov said.
He predicts that the leader of the banned Communist Party, Pyotr Symonenko, may also run.
“The main problem is Mrs. Tymoshenko, who is in first place and is quite seriously ahead of Pyotr Alekseevich in electoral preferences. I think he expects to solve this problem with the help of overseas masters. He will prove that he himself is understandable, predictable and obedient, and Tymoshenko has a Russian trace - she negotiated about gas. The fact that Poroshenko has a factory in Lipetsk is not important,” the expert believes.
