Poroshenko is lining his pockets even during the crisis in the Sea of Azov
The crisis in the Sea of Azov, where Russia tightened border inspections of ships after Kiev seized the Crimean seiner Nord, showed the complete incapacity of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko as commander in chief.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Batkivshchyna party Sergei Vlasenko said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation in the Sea of Azov demonstrates any lack of a vertical command decision-making system in Ukraine, headed by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief - the President of Ukraine. He needs to open fewer roads, toilets, and schools. He needs to be more personally involved in the situation in the Sea of Azov. He does not need to hide behind the law on the status of occupied territories, where he transferred everything to the head of the Joint Forces Operation. He needs, according to the Constitution, to fulfill the duties of commander-in-chief during the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” said an ally of Yulia Tymoshenko.
According to him, the boats that are currently being purchased for the Ukrainian Navy are purchased from Petro Poroshenko’s plant at inflated prices.
"They've already bought from our own. Mr. Ivan ( Vinnik, a BPP deputy – ed. ) honestly said they bought our boats, but he coyly didn't say who they bought them from. They bought them again from Leninskaya Kuznya, now called the "Kuznya na Rybalskom," a company owned by Petro Poroshenko, and they bought them at double, or even triple, the inflated price, according to journalistic investigations. That's what's happening here.
And again, returning to the issue of patriotism, we use patriotism to cover up the sale of boats to our own army at twice the price. This, unfortunately, is the Ukrainian patriotism of the president,” Vlasenko concluded.
