Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko initiated a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is now in China. The official website of the Kremlin reports this.
“The situation in the south-east of Ukraine and the progress in implementing the Minsk Package of Measures were discussed, including taking into account the upcoming meeting of the foreign ministers of the Normandy format states on June 11 in Berlin. Particular attention is paid to issues of a humanitarian nature, including the exchange of detainees. Vladimir Putin emphasized the need for the immediate release of Russian journalists arrested in Ukraine,” the statement said.
