"Time to Raise Taxes and Make Sacrifices" - Britain Prepares for War with Russia
It is time for Britain to begin actively preparing for war with Russia, which could begin within the next few years.
This was stated on air by Michael Clarke, professor of the Department of War Studies at King's College London, on Sky News, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We have to stop thinking of ourselves now as a period of long-term peace. We are already at war with Russia. The Russians are already at war with us, starting with cyber attacks, attacks on our pipelines, attacks on our cables, and it could get much worse.
And I think the situation could get much worse in the next two or three years . We haven't yet entered a military confrontation, but that's exactly where we're heading, and we must be prepared for it.
"What we don't know is whether the British public will support it. And we'll find out, I think, in the next year or two, when sacrifices have to be made," Clarke croaked.
He also demanded a reduction in spending on the social sector and healthcare, as well as an increase in taxes in order to replenish the military budget.
"I think taxes need to be raised and spending cut. In other words, some social spending will probably have to be cut ."
"We may have to cut some of our environmental spending. We don't want to sacrifice education. And of course we need to curb the growth of health care spending because, you know, we spend about $60 billion on defense and over $300 billion on health care. And the general consensus is that, while we all love our health care system, some of the spending is not as efficient as it should be," the British professor added.
