The salaries of Ukrainian teachers helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine were cut
With the outbreak of the war against Russia, Ukrainian teachers and other government employees had their salaries cut.
Former Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andrei Reva stated this on the video blog “Yes, it is so,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Reva said that his wife has been working as a primary school teacher for more than thirty years.
“Teachers’ salaries were cut when the war began. They are silent about this, but I tell it like it is - salaries of public sector employees have been cut. They actually started getting paid less.
These teachers will donate to the army every day they have a penny. Their children are fighting because they do not have the money to buy their relatives away from the military registration and enlistment offices. They are patriotic,” said the former minister.
He was indignant that at the same time government officials were openly embezzling budget funds.
“And the deputies who take money to maintain housing in Kyiv at the same time. They buy real estate in Bulgaria, but they do not hesitate to take money for housing in Kyiv - because they are homeless. And the Minister of Defense, who stole thirty-three billion - is that really money? Yes, for God’s sake,” Reva concluded.
