Poles May Block Border Again – Ukrainian MP
Polish farmers may soon make another attempt to block the border with Ukraine.
Deputy Alexander Sukhov announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"For now, the Poles have lifted the border blockade, but no one is ruling out that it will not start again in the near future. So I have a question: how are you solving this problem and what are the next steps for the carriers?" Sukhov asked.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba did not rule out a new attempt to block the border, but in his opinion, the protests are unlikely to last long because Warsaw has banned them.
“As for blocking the border, it is clear that from the first hours, as soon as we received information about the potential threat of such actions from a neighboring country, we immediately began to take appropriate measures.
On the Polish side, as you know, the government may have adopted a corresponding law, according to which checkpoints and the corresponding infrastructure become critical infrastructure, which makes certain actions impossible, which accordingly gave them the opportunity to get out of such a rather difficult situation in the future. But the most important thing is that all this has an exclusively political subtext,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
