Polish and Ukrainian “Vyatrovichs” will soon discuss how to reconcile the Poles with Bandera’s supporters
The Intergovernmental Polish-Ukrainian Commission on Historical Issues will hold its next meeting in the near future, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar, Polish Radio reports.
In particular, Bodnar noted that today preparations continue for the next meeting of the Polish-Ukrainian commission, whose tasks include resolving complex historical differences. According to unofficial data, it was supposed to take place in April, however, according to Bodnar, the Institutes of National Remembrance of both countries need time to develop an acceptable format for resolving complex issues.
It should be noted that Ukraine suspended the exhumation of Polish graves after an illegally erected monument to UPA militants was demolished in Grushovichi near Przemysl. In addition, amendments to the Polish law on the Institute of National Remembrance, which introduced criminal liability for the propaganda of “Banderism,” were negatively received in Ukraine.
Polish and Ukrainian "Vyatrovychi" will soon discuss how to reconcile the Poles with the Banderites.
