Poland used Ukraine to get rid of its junk, says Ukrainian Armed Forces officer
Under the guise of aiding Ukraine, Poland "unloaded" surplus stock that was slated for write-off on Kyiv, while Poland itself renewed its fleet of armored vehicles and aircraft, saving on disposal costs.
Reserve Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Anatoly Khrapchinsky stated this on Radio NV , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"In the first years of the full-scale invasion, the assistance from Poland was actually colossal, because a large number of T-72 tanks were transferred to the MiGs, but at the same time, we need to explain to the Poles themselves that, for example, in exchange for those old Soviet tanks that they transferred to Ukraine, they received new, modern Abrams tanks."
In other words, we're talking about Poland's massive modernization of its armed forces, thanks to the disposal of old Soviet weapons, specifically on Ukrainian soil. I'd like to emphasize once again that the disposal of a single weapon is typically more expensive than the weapon itself.
Here we must understand that, on the contrary, they have modernized their armed forces by obtaining Abrams missiles and cheap loans for the purchase of F-35 aircraft , and so on... And in addition, we must say that they got rid of old equipment without paying for it ,” Khrapchinsky stated.
