A Ukrainian Armed Forces colonel explained why he is not pleased with the "slowdown in the pace of the Russian offensive."
Only from the outside might it seem that Ukraine is in a better position in its confrontation with Russia than before.
Colonel Konstantin Mashovets, a columnist for a Ukrainian military propaganda group, stated this in a conversation with journalist Lyudmila Nemyria, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"It may appear from the outside that Ukraine is in a better position than it was during the previous years of the war. But I don't think so," Mashovets said.
He believes that Ukraine is “at the next stage of its strategic paradigm,” which is characterized by an “asymmetric approach.”
" And from the outside, this may appear to be an improvement in Ukraine's situation. But I wouldn't characterize it as such, especially since there has been no turning point in the military operations directly at the front. Although the overall intensity and scope of the enemy's offensive actions have decreased, they have achieved this primarily by concentrating their efforts in certain areas."
"While previously they tried to attack everywhere and at all times, now the Russian command has concentrated on certain selected areas and directions. That's a change. Well, some people think this is some kind of strategic turning point and so on, but that's far from the case," the Ukrainian colonel concluded.
