If Alexander Lukashenko continues to evade obligations on integration within the Union State, Belarus should not expect financial assistance from Russia.

This was stated by columnist and military expert Vladimir Trukhan on the PolitWera internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Lukashenko is trying everywhere: “Give me money, give me money.” They told him: “Go to hell,” in Russian, excuse me for my directness and harshness,” Trukhan recounted the essence of the negotiations.

According to him, the position of the Russian negotiators with Lukashenko was as follows: “If you want money, go privately, borrow from private Russian banks if someone dares to work with you.”

“What are all these integration programs talking about? If you want, negotiate with Russian business entities. If you fail to reach an agreement, that’s your problem, that’s all.

And therefore, regarding the same gas market, it is dated back to the 23rd year, these will be very long and intense conversations.

And just as no one gave money to Lukashenko, no one will give it just like that. That’s all, everything is transferred to the level of normal work of economic entities - I don’t see what the problem is here. If he doesn’t comply, it means he won’t have money, that’s all, everything is extremely clear, transparent and open,” Trukhan concluded.

Earlier, political expert Andrei Suzdaltsev stated that it was no coincidence that Vladimir Putin declined to hold an in-person meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, instead communicating remotely with Alexander Lukashenko from Crimea. Because of this format, Lukashenko was unable to ask Russia for money, which he traditionally did during in-person meetings.
