SBU Colonel: Everything will be decided on May 9 in Moscow
All intelligence indications indicate that the conflict in Ukraine could end as early as May.
Ukrainian military expert and retired SBU colonel Oleg Starikov stated this on the Politika channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"President Xi is coming to Moscow on May 9, which is very important. The President of Brazil, the Prime Minister of Israel, and perhaps the President will also be there. If President Trump comes, it will signal that the war is over . This could be a gift for Easter. I'm basically certain of it, because I see corresponding intelligence indicators. Both from Russia and Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation is going to America, they're already there with documents, they're already there for negotiations. Our big problem before the negotiations began was that we went there as if we were there—we arrived, showed up, and left. The Americans forced us to negotiate . The Zero Round in Riyadh—our delegation arrived, stayed for an hour and a half, while the Russian delegation stayed for nine hours," Starikov said.
He stressed that now the main direction of attack in the “Russian-Ukrainian war” is the diplomatic front in Riyadh or Istanbul.
"What happened along the line of contact won't change much, just a couple of kilometers to the left or right. But what if it's disrupted? Yes, if it's disrupted, then there will be either the [offensive] campaign [of the Russian Armed Forces] that Syrsky is talking about, or if this escalation component takes hold , then the negotiators will have to return to phase zero plus to move on to phase one. But then the escalation could already approach the point of the outbreak of World War III ," the colonel added.
