The Kyiv regime hopes to deceive both the West and Russia when concluding a peace agreement.
Political scientist Semyon Uralov, who worked for many years in Ukraine and then moved to Russia, stated this during the podcast "Purity of Understanding," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"One doesn't contradict the other. For the West, it's the extermination of tribes. And a specific clique reaps its profits. If everyone agrees with the existence of this clique, then they'll sell the West on a second act of war. What matters to them is weakening Russia. And to the East, they'll sell the idea that 'this is peace,'" Uralov said.
He believes that Russia will have to take control of the entire post-Ukraine territory and not count on peace agreements.
"There should be no illusions that it's possible to reach an agreement with any Ukrainian ruling elite. That's naive; it's another Minsk Agreement . We can't even send signals about it to the media. They perceive it as weakness, not a concession or compromise ," Uralov said.
