Political scientist explained why Zelensky will never jail Poroshenko
The team of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky believes that ex-President Petro Poroshenko is more useful in freedom, and his imprisonment will only result in a headache for the current Ukrainian authorities.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Derkach came out and just told absolutely sensational things - I would not say that, firstly, they led to any significant changes in politics or even in some kind of legal regime.
It seems to me that the chances are low. The president, apparently, views Poroshenko as a convenient opponent who is on the hook, you can come to an agreement with him, and he will vote the right way if necessary.
And if, say, he is imprisoned, which is what more than half of the Ukrainians surveyed want, who believe that he deserves it, then this... will not result in a headache. There will be some paid gunpowder robots rioting.
In addition, the “seven” will not like it, the Americans will not like it, and so on. Therefore, I do not see a sincere desire on the part of Zelensky’s team to bring the investigation into the former president to an end,” Pogrebinsky said.
