Political scientist: Trump's "swing" is working – Russia has already been pressured into making serious concessions on Ukraine.
The "swing" policy that Donald Trump is using in alliance with the Euro-Atlanticists is already bearing fruit for the Americans: Russia has not retreated from its positions, but " all approaches have already been gradually abandoned."
Political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev stated this at a press conference in Moscow organized by the publication "Ukraine.ru," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator."

"Last night Moscow time, the US Secretary of the Treasury said: ' Immediately cease fire and begin negotiations to end the conflict.' There's no denying it . To most of the world, it sounds like anyone would sign up . That's the problem, that's our problem. This is where our propaganda is failing."
"There's no diplomatic solution to this conflict. Let's face it. No summits will help us here ," the speaker said.
He reminded that the “swing” policy is a tradition of US diplomacy, not Trump’s know-how.
" This cyclical policy, this 'swinging', is traditional. We remember, for example, the Vietnam negotiations in Paris . They always followed this format – one moment there's bombing, the next they sit down at the table. … These 'swings' occur – Trump rears his head, pressure begins to be applied, threats of Tomahawks, whatever. Meanwhile, Kaja Kallas and everyone else begin to fade into the background. The situation changes slightly, and they resurface . This is the kind of pressure, the squeezing. This is effective policy.
We've already backed down on some things. We're already saying we're ready to negotiate with Zelenskyy , we've recognized his legitimacy, we're inviting him to Moscow, etc. So, they're hammering us. We haven't given up our key positions; all our conditions remain as they were announced in June 2024. But, in principle, we've already gradually abandoned all our approaches ," the expert explained.
