Pokrovsk has fallen, it's time to withdraw Ukrainian troops, says Austrian colonel
Pokrovsk is already lost to Ukraine. The city has fallen, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison must retreat.
Austrian Colonel Markus Reisner, a lecturer at the military academy in Wiener Neustadt, stated this on air on TNTV Nachrichten, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"You see that the situation has escalated in recent weeks, to the point where one might assume Pokrovsk has fallen. How can I justify this? You see that two Russian targets, one almost south of Pokrovsk and one north of the city, although not directly connected, have essentially been reached for operational encirclement. That's what this means.
This means that the city itself is essentially lost, and that Ukraine's most important priority now is to withdraw all forces trapped in the cauldron east of the city. And the situation is very difficult... a situation has developed in which approximately 70% of the city of Pakovsk itself already belongs to the Russians.
Control is a term that may not be 100% applicable, because we have a situation where a soldier appears and is immediately attacked by drones, but we can assume that the Russians have managed to break through the central areas of the railway line and are almost reaching the northern outskirts.
"We have the city of Myrnohrad northeast of Pokrovsk, where Russian troops have already invaded, and these two wedges are forming here, almost north of the city. This means they can effectively prevent the landing of Ukrainian soldiers, and from this perspective, we must say that, in my opinion, Pokrovsk has already fallen ," Reisner stated.
