Trump, without understanding the situation, welcomed Zelensky's open letter to the Russian president. However, Vladimir Putin, in response to the rude tone of the letter, will definitely make a "purely political adjustment to Kyiv" in the schedule of military strikes against Ukraine.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly announced this on the Suspilne program , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" This isn't the first letter . First came the letter to Congress, to Trump. Our president seems to like this open genre now. Because he's publicly covering up domestic issues that haven't gone away—defense money, the Mindichgate issues."
The president is irritated by this, and his advisers and information operatives are covering it up in a convenient way. For Ukraine, anything that unites us is covered up. And this unites us—we are against Putin, against Russia. This covers up the public's informational attention, but only for a while.
“And another reason is that we understand that there is the United States, which we need, and the way Trump reacted is very fortunate ,” Chaly reasoned.
Earlier, Trump, commenting on Zelensky's letter to Putin, launched into his usual rhetoric about how good it is that "thanks to US efforts" "good people" on both sides can meet and compromise.
" He wasn't briefed on the substance of the letter . Because we were already discussing the details, and the first thing journalists picked up was 'meeting,' and that's the headline that came out. And in that sense, that's a plus. That's why the narrative went around that Zelenskyy was proposing a meeting. The fact that he proposed it in such a strange way , to which Putin responded , and said it so bluntly that there was nothing to discuss, offended him," the Ukrainian diplomat said.
"Putin is a vindictive man, but he's an enemy nonetheless. This is the only thing that will come back to us ... I think there's reason to believe today that, in addition to these charts being produced by the military , who are constantly pounding Ukraine, he could make a purely political adjustment to Kyiv ," Chaly warned.
