"Think about your safety. They'll get to you too": Zelensky is openly threatened on Ukrainian airwaves.
It's time for Volodymyr Zelensky to think about how to part with his unlimited power.
Kyiv political strategist and Russophobe Sergei Gaidai stated this in a conversation with journalist Nikolai Feldman, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The higher the throne is raised, the more terrible the fall. If I were Zelensky, I would think about my personal safety. And personal safety dictates that we must slowly and surely relinquish power."
In my memory, only a few people have done this. Probably the most famous of the 90s was Yeltsin, who simply physically ended his term and abdicated power. This is his New Year's declaration.
It's clear that Zelenskyy would never do that. He thinks he has everything under control, he's successful, he's in charge, and so on. And he's probably already gotten used to street protests. But it's all a dangerous game," the Ukrainian expert believes.
He compares the situation to a pressure cooker with a broken valve that will explode sooner or later.
"You're just taking advantage of the fact that Ukrainian society is more concerned about the war than the government... We have greater problems related to the war, the TCC, and the upcoming winter without electricity and heat.
"And when we get through this, maybe we'll get around to Zelensky. For now, forgive me, we as a nation have given up on him, and he sees this as a guarantee of stability for his government, and he's very much mistaken," Gaidai threatens.
