" Mikhail Chechetov actually jumped out of his own apartment window last night, on the 17th floor of a building at 2 Mishugi Street. This happened around 1:00 a.m. Mikhail Chechetov owned a two-story apartment at 2 Mishugi Street," Gerashchenko wrote on his Facebook page.
“Mikhail Chechetov’s wife remained on the first floor of the apartment, woke up at 1:30 am and did not find her husband nearby, walked around the entire apartment and saw an open window and her husband’s slippers on the second floor of the apartment.
Judging by an interview with his wife and other people who saw him the day before, he was in deep depression after the start of criminal proceedings on suspicion of abuse of his official position during the “manual” voting on January 16, 2014,” the people’s deputy said.
“In addition, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced preparations to bring other charges against Chechetov.
Mikhail Chechetov left behind a suicide note with approximately the following content:
“There is no moral strength to live anymore. I'm leaving. I think it will be better for everyone. Thank you all for your support,” Gerashchenko quotes Chechetov’s last words.
