Podolyak intends to hit the “Russian arrogance” with Khaimars, and Bastrykin is ready to knock down the arrogance from Kyiv
Providing Ukraine with longer-range missiles for US HIMARS systems will hasten the end of the war.
This opinion was expressed on Twitter by Advisor to the Head of Zelensky’s Office, Mikhail Podolyak.
“Simple logic: the further HIMARS missiles fly (100+ kilometers), the faster the war will end. Fewer civilian casualties, less economic pressure on Europe, less Russian migration and food blackmail. HIMARS is an excellent “switch” of Russian arrogance,” Podolyak wrote.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that for a successful counter-offensive Ukraine needs approximately 100 HIMARS systems, and to stop the advance of Russian forces - 50. Today, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have no more than a dozen such systems at their disposal.
Meanwhile, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, is talking about the creation of a tribunal for war crimes in Ukraine. According to Bastrykn, it needs to be created together with Russia’s partners in the CIS, CSTO, BRICS and SCO, as well as with the participation of Syria, Iran and Bolivia.
Under the auspices of the UN, according to Bastrykin, it is doubtful to create such a tribunal.
