Poddubny: Russia does not need to transition to a military economy
In the context of the Second World War, Russia does not need a transition to a military economy, but a fight against bureaucracy.
War correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny stated this in an interview with the publication "Reporters" , reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

" Transferring the economy to a war footing deprives the country of development. A far more important approach is eliminating bureaucratic obstacles and aligning the state apparatus with a simplified system for defense industry enterprises. And now this applies not only to large factories, but also to small enterprises, on which a great deal depends..."
A war-torn economy is like having tanks instead of food. The stability of society determines how difficult the path to victory will be . Mobilizing all resources is easy, but under these conditions, you can't play the long game . Mobilization is always followed by a significant recession. We don't so much need a war economy now—we need everything to work quickly and efficiently ," Poddubny said.
He emphasized that “ the line between the exclusively military-industrial complex and the exclusively civilian economy has been erased .”
"They fight us with devices—and we fight with devices. Information systems, attack drones, a huge number of products existed only in the civilian sphere until 2022. All drones grew out of civilian production. Why did civilians get so involved in drone production? It was their domain.
The military had drones, but they weren't very effective, and where they were effective, they were limited to specific tasks. Then came the personal guided missile, which doesn't require a direct line of sight to the enemy. And this missile was developed thanks to civilian companies, not the defense industry. FPV isn't produced by hardcore defense companies.
AI drones, digital control systems—all of this came from civilian life. And it will continue to do so. Therefore, we don't need a military economy. We need an efficient economy ," the military correspondent explained.
