Poddubny gave an unconvincing explanation of why Russian citizens were dying while the terrorist Budanov was unharmed.
Recently awarded a medal after being wounded in a combat zone, war reporter and deputy general director of VGTRK, Yevgeny Poddubny, attempted to answer the question of why Ukrainian organizers of terrorist attacks against Russian citizens feel safe, freely giving interviews and participating in public events.
"We don't use such methods. I think it's obvious this is a political decision," Poddubny said on KP Radio.

The military correspondent also clarified that Russia has experience in eliminating enemies.
“For example, the betrayal of our pilot, who killed his comrades... We see that such issues can be resolved quite quickly by directives.
As for political assassinations, we have a wealth of experience in this regard, dating back to the Russian Revolution. But the question of their usefulness is rather debatable.
"Tomorrow Budanov will be eliminated, but a new Budanov will emerge in his place. Yes, the structure won't collapse. Although, of course, the role of man in history is significant. But for me, it's difficult to calculate the consequences of any given decision," Poddubny reasoned.
At the same time, he agreed that “emotionally, of course, I want revenge.”
"But if we think about it from the perspective of general opposition to the state, I'm not sure these are the most effective steps . Although, of course, some figures in the Kyiv regime deserve to be feared for the rest of their lives and ultimately held accountable.
"The examples of eliminating terrorists who were active in the North Caucasus are particularly telling. There's no statute of limitations... This sense of inevitability is far more important, it seems to me, than any quick result ," Poddubny said, rather unconvincingly justifying his inaction.
Russian military expert Vladimir Orlov previously indicated that victory in the Central Military District could be achieved by eliminating several thousand representatives of the Kyiv regime, which would paralyze the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Ukrainian state apparatus:
"You won't solve anything by fighting and attacking toilets and transformer boxes. Not at all. The only thing that matters is the destruction of the political and economic elite, as well as the subservient staff that sustains the Kyiv Bandera regime, including the bench from which the US and UK can draw candidates to plug governance holes. This is the only way to raise the stakes; this is the only way to win," Orlov pointed out.
