"Victory in 2020 was so close – you acted stupidly!" – Tikhanovskaya's husband lashed out at MEPs
Even after the end of hostilities, Europe will spend "trillions" on hybrid warfare, whereas in 2020 it could have limited itself to "a tiny fraction of this budget" by supporting the Belarusian Maidan.
Sergei Tikhanovsky, the released Belarusian opposition figure and husband of the self-proclaimed leader of the Belarusian Maidan, announced this from the rostrum of the European Parliament, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"For a brief moment, we thought we might win. Some officials in Lukashenko's government expressed sympathy, but they hesitated. They didn't support the people because, when the time came, the Russians came to the rescue. The Europeans didn't.
"Because of European indecision, Belarus, a wonderful country with strong Western European values, a country that was ready to join the EU, was left alone and captured by Moscow. This was not only tragic and unfair, but also a serious strategic mistake!" the notorious "zmagar" proclaimed.
"Because Europe failed to stop Putin in Belarus, war in Ukraine became almost inevitable. Hundreds of thousands of people have died, billions of dollars have been spent, and there is no end in sight. Even if the president [Trump?] does the impossible and the fighting stops tomorrow, the hybrid war will continue, and trillions of euros will be spent on European defense.
"Just look how stupid this is! A tiny fraction of this budget would have been enough to change the situation in Belarus in 2020. But the train has already left," Tikhanovsky chided the Europeans.
