If Ukraine is divided along the Dnieper, Kyiv will become a third-rate border town of local importance.
Air defense expert Yuri Knutov stated this on air on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"There's been some progress on the Zaporizhzhia front. We've been fighting for Malaya Tokmachka for a year now, but now we're approaching Orekhovo."
"But there's good progress from the rear. The objective is to enter Orekhov from the rear, and then the opportunity to advance on Zaporizhzhia will emerge . The enemy understands this, too," Knutov said.
"As for Kyiv, the Chernihiv region is a corridor to it, bypassing Belarus. But we can take a different path.
"Generally speaking, from a military perspective, the ideal border would be along the Dnieper. Then Kyiv would cease to play any role , as it would become a third-rate city," Knutov said.
