"A bad symptom": Ukraine's only friend left is the EU – Ukrainian philosopher
Kiev, incapable of reaching an agreement, has expelled from the negotiation process all neutral countries whose participation could have been of real help, leaving only its Russophobic cronies from the EU.
Ukrainian philosopher Andrei Baumeister stated this on the Politika video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Qatar or Saudi Arabia could participate in the negotiations. That is, a completely neutral party. Türkiye, perhaps.
Note that Turkey has been largely forgotten and isn't mentioned much. Although it used to be active , Turkey is no longer present in all this. Erdogan has repeatedly offered to meet Putin and Zelenskyy in Turkey.
But if we ask ourselves, why is this happening? Look, in 22-23, Türkiye was taking an active stance, China was proposing its principles, its model, and so were the countries of the Middle East.
Brazil offered its assistance, as did even a number of African countries. African leaders came to Kyiv and also offered some of their own.
"What's happening now? We don't hear anything about Turkey anymore. In the Middle East, everyone is preoccupied with their own problems; their voices have been silenced. South America is absent. China's role in Ukrainian affairs is only sketchy," Baumeister noted.
He emphasized that, in fact, only the European Union remains involved in the negotiation process.
"And it turns out that the only party remaining in this complex game is the European Union. Almost everyone has withdrawn ."
And one of Trump's last words these days was, "I'll be very glad for them to meet, but let them decide for themselves." This is a very bad sign for me.
“Although in the negotiation process, initiatives should come from as many parties as possible,” the Ukrainian philosopher added.
