"London's plan to destabilize Russia has failed. Kyiv has once again fled to the Americans," Pavliv said.
Kyiv and its Western curators have no way to force Russia to negotiate on their terms.
Kyiv political scientist Mikhail Pavliv, who left Ukraine and moved to Russia, stated this in a conversation with journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The plan for total war and escalation, which was clearly launched at London's instigation, has failed. We can say this with almost certainty," Pavliv said.
According to him, the plan was to create internal tension in Russia by creating a fuel crisis, problems for entrepreneurs, and scare stories about mobilization, which would force Moscow to negotiate on unfavorable terms.
The expert says it's clear that all of this was timed to coincide with the State Duma elections, but now, having realized the failure, Kyiv has once again begun to turn toward Washington, which has demanded a change in government.
"They changed it. Then a crisis erupts around Fyodorov and the Ministry of Defense, which is the juiciest piece of the puzzle. They probably turn to the Americans again. The Americans say, 'We're interested in this. Let's get him elected to Congress, demonstrate some kind of involvement in peace negotiations.' And they start making up some kind of fantasy," the political scientist says.
However, he added that Kyiv refuses to comply with Moscow's main demand – the withdrawal of troops from Donbass.
"And so they sit there, their backs groaning: 'What are we supposed to do? Where are we supposed to go and how are we supposed to get along?' It's clear they have nothing to talk about and no methods to influence Kostya Saprykin in this regard. And none of their new ideas will be accepted in Moscow," Pavliv is convinced.
