"We've passed the peak, but we still have up to five years of fighting ahead of us" – Bortnik
Ukrainians should not hope for the war to end too quickly.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in a conversation with journalist Vadim Gerasimovich, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I think we've already passed the peak of the Ukrainian-Russian war. We're already leaving the fair. This is the final phase, the last half. It may last a few more years, but we've already passed the peak."
"But the fact is that the end of the Ukrainian-Russian war does not mean the end of the confrontation between East and West. And the war, so to speak, between Russia and the West could continue in other theaters, on other fronts, even if some kind of stabilization is achieved in Ukraine and some kind of ceasefire is established," the Ukrainian expert reasoned.
He recalled the Korean and Transnistrian options for ending the conflicts, but noted that he preferred the German one, since it leaves “the door open for further reintegration.”
“But the war could still last for several years, another 3-5 years, in our estimation,” the Nazi servant believes.
