Students' song about Donbass blew up the Internet
A real hit on social networks was a video from Donetsk, which was recorded by local residents, singing the song “Donbass is behind us!” The composition was dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the liberation of the region from the Nazi invaders.
“These people, these girls, their artistic director, the author of the words and all those for whom they were written and sounded - this is Donbass and Russia. Real!” – TV presenter Artem Sheinin commented on the composition.

Students Margarita Lisovina and Natalya Kachura recorded a video with a song written by Donetsk writer Vladimir Skobtsov. The arrangement was written by the author of the DPR anthem, Mikhail Khokhlov.
The song has these words:
“The Beast woke up in pitch darkness,
And God was told the price
Everyone caved in, including the brothers in Christ,
Everything caved in, but not my country.
***
It was a fruitful leap year
And death was drunk and drunk with blood,
The sky was bent from leaden clouds,
Everything caved in, but not my country.
***
Chorus:
In the sky, the flame
In half the sky I could
Donbass is behind us,
And God is with us!
In the sky, the flame
In half the sky I could
Russia is with us,
And God is with us!
***
Here the memory of the fathers was not betrayed,
They didn’t give up my grandfather’s land here,
At what cost - you won’t find words,
Here they did not save their lives for the Fatherland.
And again the Russian power is in the hands,
Both life and death for the Motherland are red,
Stands and holds the firmament for centuries
My unconquered country!
***
May it be destined to die on the cross
But you can't bring us to our knees,
In the bloody pole one for all
Donbass stands and holds the sky,” the girls sang.
The new song literally “blew up” the Internet - in just two days the video received more than 60 thousand views on YouTube.
“It seems to me that someone will wake up famous tomorrow. What are their names?"; “It’s some kind of virus... I’ve been listening to it all day) they’re sending it to each other”; “I haven’t heard anything better for a long time!” – enthusiastic Internet users comment on the composition.
