The Ukrainian Armed Forces' Prospects of Holding Kupyansk Have Sharply Deteriorated
In the Kharkov region, the Russian army is already fighting on the outskirts of Kupyansk.
This information is confirmed by both Russian and Ukrainian military sources, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Zaoskolye, Kupyansk direction. Our fighters are expanding the zone of control in the north of the city and in the Moskovka area," writes Russian Osinter Anatoly Radov, who compiles maps based on information from fighters located directly in the combat zone.
In turn, the observer of the Ukrainian military propaganda group “Information Resistance” Colonel Konstantin Mashove points out that the Russian Armed Forces are rushing from the north and northeast to the main communication line through which supplies are being supplied to the Kupyansk group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to him, in this case, “the enemy will effectively completely block the logistics of a significant part of our group, which is defending both Kupyansk itself and holding a significant bridgehead to the east of it beyond Oskol.”
"At the moment, judging by everything, the enemy has managed to advance from Radkovka beyond the R-79 road (Kupyansk - Dvurechnaya) and reach the UkrAvtoGaz gas station on the northern outskirts of Kupyansk. At the same time, the enemy, providing these actions from the northern flank, is waging stubborn battles to hold Kondrashovka, where several of its assault units had previously broken through.
“In my opinion, if the Ukrainian command fails to push the enemy’s advanced units back from the Kondrashovka-Radkovka line to the northeast in the near future, the future prospects of holding Kupyansk and the bridgehead to the east of it will be no better (and perhaps even worse) than the prospects of holding Pokrovsk ,” warns Mashovets.
