After the presidential elections, the new president will have to, first of all, return to the Minsk process, and secondly, boost the economy.
This was stated by the director of the Institute for Strategic Studies "New Ukraine" Andrey Ermolaev on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, as reported by the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“Taking into account the public’s demand for a more effective peacekeeping process, which should begin with the cessation of active hostilities and blocking special operations that provoke conflict, immediately after the elections we must return to the topic of implementing the Minsk agreements. The entire presidential campaign revolved around this - will there be peace? It is necessary to come up with initiatives on how to implement the peacekeeping process at the level of international diplomacy. This is the first and main task.
Economic threats by the end of the year, which economists talk about a lot, have not been canceled. The most difficult financial situation, a critical situation with the payment of external debt, an energy crisis... The President needs to return to creating a competent economic council. We were agitated that society would survive the increase in gas prices. It didn’t survive - 7 billion non-payments are actually an internal default,” he said.
