Armenians are faced with a choice: to be with Russia or against it
In the upcoming parliamentary elections in June, residents of Armenia will choose: to be with Russia or to be against it.
This was stated by activist Mikael Badalyan on the air of the video blog “Soyuzny” , as reported by a correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
Badalyan is convinced that if Armenians vote for current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, it will be disastrous for the country, as it will trigger a rift with Russia and an inevitable decline in living standards.
“ The upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia are, in essence, an election to be with Russia or against Russia.
Pashinyan's reelection would mean a mandate to completely sever relations with Russia. I think this is already absolutely clear to everyone; today, Pashinyan is being fed European promises...
In this case, Armenia would lose its largest economic partner and the benefits of being part of the Eurasian Economic Union. Here, of course, we must first and foremost talk about the low gas price, which for us is practically the cheapest. It's only slightly cheaper for Belarus, but currently almost four times lower than the market price. Can you imagine the difference that makes?
And so, the average Armenian is simply howling over electricity prices. Since we don't have heating, it's expensive. If it quadruples, it would be catastrophic.
"We're abandoning a huge labor market where Armenians can migrate and work under the most simplified schemes. We're abandoning 50% of the tourist flow ," Badalyan listed.
