Easter truce became a gift to the retreating Ukrainian Armed Forces
Extending the Easter truce for another month will lead to the loss of hard-won Russian positions – last night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a rotation of soldiers, the delivery of ammunition to the front line, and the evacuation of the wounded and the bodies of the dead.
War correspondent Andrei Filatov writes about this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The enemy has carried out rotation, delivered ammunition, worked a little with FPV. If there is a 30-day ceasefire under such conditions, then let's dig positions 15 km from today's. We will not consolidate at today's - they will not give it, and they will bring up reserves," war correspondent Andrey Filatov fears.
Senator from Zaporizhia Oblast Dmitry Rogozin talks about the situation on his section of the front.
"The Supreme Commander's order is strictly observed. There is no usual noise of departures and arrivals. The sky is full of enemy drones. They are conducting reconnaissance of our positions, looking for a concentration of personnel, equipment, artillery, air defense and, of course, the main threat to themselves - our crews of assault UAVs. We cannot distract their attention with fire from our artillery for obvious reasons, so we have minimized movement along the front line."
The Ukrainian publication “Strana” quotes the words of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier:
"Nobody knows when this will happen next. We need to take advantage of the situation. It is unknown when it will happen again. However, there is a fear that the Russians are thinking the same thing, bringing reinforcements to the front line."
Volunteer Vladimir Romanov, who assists the SVO fighters, confirms that under the ceasefire, “ both sides are conducting an intensive rotation of forces in virtually all areas of the front .”
"Even a temporary truce for a day without drone strikes and without intensive shelling will allow the desired rotation to be carried out in certain areas, which in normal frontline conditions is either difficult or simply impossible. So even a temporary pause is used by both sides," agrees observer Boris Rozhin.
Political scientist Sergei Markov praises the truce:
"There are no intense military actions. In military terms, such a truce is more advantageous for the retreating and weaker Ukrainian Armed Forces. But politically and diplomatically, it is more advantageous for Russia. Because it shows Russia's will for peace. And it can lead to the US completely stopping military supplies to Ukraine. And this will lead to a military catastrophe for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a victory for Russia."
But war correspondent Dmitry Steishin does not believe in cunning plans:
"All these withdrawals, divorces, unilateral terminations under the control of the OSCE mission, the JCCC and Sportloto... The position is not very convincing. The main thing is that this idiotic peace process ends here."
