“In Mariupol, captured by Ukrainian troops, on the night of May 7, an event occurred that the local occupation authorities have already called “moral sabotage.”

There are several abandoned private houses on Granitnaya and Krymskaya streets. There, on the roofs and fences, on the night of Sunday, May 7, red flags were hung by unidentified persons, symbolizing the Victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Unknown people who hung symbols of Victory, not wanting to expose any of the residents of Mariupol with their action, installed flags on houses where no one lived.

On the morning of May 7, the police removed the red symbols, but the news about the “moral sabotage” carried out against the occupiers’ authorities managed to spread widely throughout Mariupol and outside the city,” writes Kharkova.

As PolitNavigator reported, the day before numerous graffiti appeared in Mariupol announcing the arrival of the DPR: “Banderlog, get the fuck out of the city!”, “DPR is coming soon,” etc.

Furthermore, local media reports the destruction of the grave of Nazi collaborator Mykola Fenenko . During the German occupation of Mariupol, he published a Ukrainian-language newspaper and, after the city's liberation, was sentenced to prison as a Nazi collaborator.
