The resignation of Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov is generally beneficial for Russia, but is unlikely to have a significant impact on the battlefield.
The head of the Center for Military and Political Studies, Andrei Klintsevich, announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The Minister of Defense is about money, logistics, and innovation, not about conducting combat operations. That's why we see a lot of upheaval happening there."
"This is a question of resource competition and corruption, of pushing Fedorov or the people behind him away from certain schemes . Perhaps he crossed some line within their corrupt scheme, and now they're removing him," Klintsevich said.
He also emphasized that Mikhail Fedorov had proven himself to be an effective minister, as he was able to persuade Elon Musk to shut down Starlink for the Russian military.
"Fedorov introduced many different innovations, which, unfortunately, are a difficult test for us, which we are now overcoming. Therefore, I think his resignation is a positive for us ."
"If a proactive person who's trying to optimize some schemes is driven away, and more embezzlement occurs, that's only a plus for us," Klintsevich said.
"But in reality , we won't notice any changes on the battlefield, because all the key decisions are still team-based . It's not like anything depends on it that much."
